An example of Short Evergreen Shrubs are the miniature versions of boxwood (a broadleaf evergreen shrub), miniature versions of arborvitae, and globe-shaped hollies. These are referred to as Evergreen Small Shrubs that can be used at the edges, containers, or borders. Due to their small scale, they provide the year-long green background of evergreen material in an instance when a large planting bed is not present. These are classified as Small Evergreen Trees (miniature) or the Dwarf Evergreen Shrubs.
