It is the question of many whether Max Funded IUL can be an efficient way to supplement retirement income. During retirement discussion, its advocates claim that Maximum Funded Indexed Universal Life enables you to obtain a cash value by borrowing loans in form of policy loans and this applies to the normal policy loans, which is tax-free and the policy is still in effect. This feature has the capacity to provide a substitute to taxable withdrawals of 401 (k)s or IRAs. The loans however lower both the cash value and death benefit unless they are repaid. The proper interpretation of the interest on loans is fundamental prior to making assumptions about tax free income. Have you checked this with Roth IRA withdrawal?
